Does anyone else feel like strangling the next weather presenter that says "HOPEFULLY" it will reach 100 degrees?

Why do they all think we want it to be as hot as possible? I don't know anyone that "HOPES" it is going to be any hotter than it is now!

Just cos they're in a nice air conditioned studio!!!!!

Sorry, rant over! Just finding work a bit unbearable in the heat!

Let's face it, if you only had to work 20 minutes each day, wouldn't you want it as hot as possible?

I like this weather- when i am in a foreign country and am able to lie on the beach or by a swimming pool.

I dont like this weather when i have to go to work in office attire and sit in a building with no AC

I suppose I could have said 'arrive at work' but I like to keep the admin on their toes, they've got it too easy.

In fact I've just been past the job centre and there's a queue of weather girls all looking for a job as a Blues Forum Administrator because presenting the weather is getting a bit too much for them.

yesterday felt like a friday as me and the missus went on a little pub crawl round cosehill and then stopped off at the off licence to buy a bottle of wine to drink in the garden **thumbup quality

@ stephanie - take some deodrant to work, nip the toilet and have a bit of a freshen up midway through the day ;) that does wonders for the mood for me

You should try working in a kitchen when they leave the fryers on.. and the fans turned off over night to get there to do the breakfast shift to be boiled alive!!

Oh, and its not much better with the fans on.. :D

Or try sitting in a 1 hour traffic jam on the way home without air con in the car - looking forward to that in a bit!

Its going to be even hotter tomorrow and I'm boxing for an hour at 4.30!

Whats worse is its in a boxing gym 2 floors below ground level with no air con.

The media love it when the weather's hot because it gives them an excuse to wheel out lots of filler stories like 'UK hotter than Spain', and film of glamorous, tanned women on beaches, eating ice creams etc. Money for nothing.

or try my job and spend around 6 hours in a van with no aircon every day
then when you get out the van you go into homes and office usuallywithout aircon and have to build furniture
in this heat it is a pure nightmare you sweat buckets

That sounds horrible. I thought we had it bad without any aircon.

Our company sent an email around yesterday to say they were relaxing the dress code whilst the weather is hot - the guys dont have to wear ties and jackets but no mention of anything different for women :(
